No. GoldLeaf is a licensed adult-use (recreational) dispensary, so anyone 21 or older can walk in and buy. There is no card, registration, doctor’s note, or appointment involved. Bring a valid ID and that is it.
You have to be 21. We check ID at the door every single visit, no exceptions and no “I was just here yesterday.” It has to be a valid, unexpired, government-issued photo ID: a driver’s license, a state ID card, a passport, a passport card, or a military ID. Photos of your ID on your phone do not work, and neither do expired ones.
Everyone who comes in with you needs to be 21 and carrying ID too, including people who are not buying anything. We cannot let anyone under 21 into the store, and that includes children and babies.
We are at 235 Fairview Ave in Hudson, NY 12534, with free parking on site.
Sunday: 10am to 8pm
Monday to Wednesday: 9am to 8pm
Thursday to Saturday: 9am to 9pm
Call us at 518-327-GOLD (4653) or email [email protected]. Holiday hours can differ, so check our Google listing before you drive out.
Yes to pickup. Browse the live menu, place your order, and we will have it bagged and waiting when you get here. You still need to show your ID at the counter to complete the sale, and payment happens in store, not online.
We do not deliver. Everything is picked up in person at the Hudson store.
New York sets the limit, not us. Adults 21 and over can buy up to 3 ounces of cannabis flower and up to 24 grams of concentrate per day. Concentrate covers vape cartridges, dabs, edibles, tinctures, and anything else where the cannabis has been extracted, and it is measured by the total THC in the product rather than by the weight of the package.
Our point of sale tracks this as we ring you up, so if you get close to the ceiling your budtender will tell you before it becomes a problem
We accept cash, and there is an ATM in the store if you need it. We also accept debit and Dutchie pay. We cannot take credit cards, because federal banking rules still keep major card networks out of cannabis retail.
If you are ordering ahead for pickup, you pay when you arrive
Everything New York’s licensed market makes, in six categories:
Flower. Whole buds, hand selected, from eighths up to ounces.
Pre-rolls. Single joints, multi-packs, and infused rolls for when you do not want to grind anything.
Vapes. Cartridges, all-in-one disposables, and batteries.
Concentrates. Live rosin, live resin, hash, badder, and sauce for dab rigs and low-temp setups.
Edibles. Gummies, chocolates, and baked goods, usually sold in 10-piece packs.
Beverages. Seltzers, teas, and other fast-acting drinks, generally in low doses that are easy to control.
We also carry tinctures, topicals, and the glass, grinders, and rolling papers to go with all of it. The menu changes constantly as new drops land, so the live menu is always more accurate than anything written here.
Tell your budtender that. It is genuinely the most useful thing you can say, and they hear it a dozen times a day.
A few things that help:
Come in with a goal, not a product. “I want to sleep,” “I want to be social,” and “I want to stop hurting after a shift” all point to different shelves. You do not need to know strain names.
Start low. With edibles and drinks, 2.5mg of THC is a real starting dose and 5mg is plenty for most new customers. Wait a full two hours before taking more. Edibles are slow, and almost every bad first experience comes from someone deciding it was not working.
Inhaling hits faster. A vape or a pre-roll comes on within minutes, which makes it easier to feel your way to the right amount, though it wears off sooner.
Do not drive. Not on the way home, not “just a little.” Plan the ride before you buy.
Yes on both. GoldLeaf is licensed by the New York Office of Cannabis Management, license number OCM-RETL-24-000044, and every product we sell comes through New York’s regulated supply chain from licensed cultivators and processors in the state.
That means every batch has been tested by an independent lab for potency and for contaminants like pesticides, heavy metals, solvents, and mold, and it is tracked from the farm to our shelf. The packaging tells you the THC and CBD content, the batch, and the license behind it.
It is worth being blunt about the contrast. New York’s unlicensed shops sell products that no lab has looked at, from a supply chain nobody tracks. If a store cannot show you a license number, that is your answer.
Because our family has been making signs in Columbia County since 1948.
It started at Blything Signs in Hudson, where the elder Matt Kusewich went to work that year and eventually bought the business in 1970. His son took over in 1976, renamed it Matt’s Signs, and moved it up the road to Stottville. For years he was the only neon sign maker in Columbia or Greene County, and one of about six in the entire six-county region. The local paper ran a story on him under the headline “That unmistakable neon glow never fades at Matt’s Signs.”
That clipping is framed on our wall. The odd cast-iron tools mounted next to it are the burners the glass was actually bent over, by hand, one tube at a time.
Neon was only part of what a shop like that did. They sandblasted, they hand-lettered, and they gold leafed: real gold, laid on by hand, the finish you paid for when you wanted a sign people would remember. That is where our name came from.
So the neon in here is not decor we ordered off a website. It is the family trade, still lit, pointed at something new.
